Welcome Scheme and Orientation Course Manchester
Manchester Metropolitan University has a Welcome Scheme at Manchester Airport, which provides a friendly face to meet you and transport to your accommodation. The service is free for international students and is available between 8.00am and 8.00pm, 11 17 September 2007. Please arrange to arrive between these times. If you anticipate arriving outside these times or dates, please contact the International Office and we will attempt to make alternative arrangements.
If you are arriving at Manchester Airport, please complete the form with exact details of your flight and arrival time. We need this information in advance in order to arrange for you to be met at the airport. If your flight times/dates change, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can alter the arrangements.
Orientation Course: Thursday 13 Saturday 15 September 2007
This course will take place on the MMU Manchester and Cheshire Campuses before the start of the new academic year. The course aim is to help you adjust to life at the University before the new UK students arrive. It will also provide you with an opportunity to make friends and to meet other overseas students in the same position as yourself. The orientation course offers an information market, a series of talks; discussions and tours to help you become acquainted with MMU and its surrounding areas.
Students Paying International Fees (non-EU students)
The orientation course is free for all full-time students who are paying the overseas student tuition fee for their course. The course starts on Thursday morning - if you are staying in one of the universities halls of residence you may move into your room on Wednesday. If you anticipate arriving in Manchester before Wednesday 12 September, you should make your own arrangeStudents Paying International Fees (non-EU students)

EU Students Paying Home Fees and Exchange Students
EU Students who are paying EU/home fees and all exchange students are liable for a fee of £65, which includes meals, trips, and entertainment but does not include accommodation. Payment should accompany the booking form and the following methods of payment are acceptable UK cheque, or travellers cheque in pounds sterling or a bankers draft drawn on a UK bank. All cheques should be made payable to Manchester Metropolitan University.
Do not send cash or cheques from an overseas bank.
The orientation course starts at 9.30am Thursday 13 September with breakfast and registration.
