Pre-arrival support and welcome As part of our support for you, before you come to Sheffield and when you arrive, we provide a number of services, including: Pre-arrival advice and information Online mentoring scheme Meet and greet service Orientation Programme Advice and guidance We provide advice and guidance on a range of issues affecting study and welfare. If you need assistance with visa, immigration or welfare issues you can book an appointment for advice. We also have Education Advisers who provide guidance on course, assessment and financial issues and can help you to work through any concerns you might have. Learner development We offer study workshops each semester to help you adjust to UK study methods and teaching styles. We can also put you in touch with organisations in the UK who offer international students other specialist information. We work closely with the Students' Union and other groups to provide a range of activities and events throughout the year.
